Liberia elected Vice Chair…

PARIS, FRANCE-Liberia has been elected as Vice Chair of the Bureau of Education Commission at the United Nations Education and Scientific Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the next two years.

According to a release issued Monday, November 25, 2019, Gbovadeh Gbilia of Liberia was elected along with representatives from Pakistan, Qatar and Jamaica as Chairman, Vice Chair and Reporteur recently in Paris, France.

Mr. Gbovadeh serves as Head of the Education Delivery Unit at the Ministry of Education, and will work in cycle with the Chairman from Pakistan to handle education related issues.

The release said that he will also deal with matters related to TIVET Education, Higher Education, and Framework design for the Implementation of Education Sustainable Development (ESD) among others.

Mr. Gbilia expressed thanks and appreciation to the Government of Liberia for his nomination and promised to work in elevating global education standards.
