(mylbsonline/Liberia)-Police Inspector General, Chris Massaquoi, says his administration will implement recommendations by the Professional Standard Division (PSD) of the Liberia National Police (LNP), in line with officers’ conduct.

Colonel Massaquoi said: “Over the past months, the LNP has regained its public trust, because my administration is fully implementing PSD’s recommendations.”

“The entity will continue naming and shaming LNP officers who will discharge their duties unprofessionally,” he said.

The Police Boss spoke Wednesday May 1, 2013 at the official turning over ceremony of the newly constructed car port, rehabilitated firing range, and garage at the Liberia National Police Training Academy (LNPTA) in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.

NDP Country Director and the Norwegian Counselor for Political and Development in Liberia spoke earlier at the turning over ceremony.

Dominic Sam and Fred Rasmussen, in separate remarks, said: “The Police Training Academy is vital to Liberia’s transformation.”
They pledged their respective institutions’ support to the country’s security reform.

The 18-thousand United States Dollar project was funded by the Norwegian Government and implemented by UNDP.
