(mylbsonline/Liberia)-President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has dismissed Michael Wah as Assistant Minister for Trade Union Affairs at the Labor Ministry.

An Executive Mansion release said: “Mr. Wah’s dismissal was based on financial malpractice.”

“The President has also dismissed the Principal of the Booker Washington Institute (BWI), Mulbah Jackollie”, the release said.

“The Liberian Leader dismissed Mr. Jackollie for his inability to manage the affairs of the institute.”

The President is the Chairman and Ex-Officio of the BWI Board of Governors.

President Johnson-Sirleaf has meanwhile appointed Alexander Massey as Acting Principal of BWI.

She has also appointed several persons as non-statutory members of the BWI Board of Trustees.

Those appointed are, Dr. Joe Isaac, Kenneth Best, John Youboty, Upjit Sachdeva, Joyce Harris, Ralph Henri, Emmanuel Lawrence and Bill Morris.

Meanwhile, the President has suspended Deputy Posts and Telecommunications Minister, Levi Demmah.

“Mr. Demmah’s suspension is based on his action inappropriate of high-level official in securing a bank loan for a contractor,” the release said. He faces investigation.
