Liberia, Equatorial Guinea sign communiqu to build RIA

(mylbsonline/Liberia)-The Governments of Liberia and Equatorial Guinea have signed a communiqué for the modernization of the Roberts International Airport (RIA) in Lower Margibi County.

According to the Communiqué, Equatorial Guinea has agreed to also construct low housing estates in Liberia.

The disclosure was made Tuesday, May 21, 2013 by President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf at the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County.

President Johnson-Sirleaf made the statement upon arrival from a week-long trip to the United States and Equatorial Guinea, respectively.

At the same time, President Johnson-Sirleaf says the final meeting of the UN Secretary General’s post Millennium Development Project in New York was successful.

The President said: “Following the meeting in New York, I met with the US Congress to help concretize the relations between Liberia and the United States.”
