(mylbsonline/Liberia)- one of Liberia’s leading GSM company, Lone Star Communication, says it has allotted over US$30,000 in support of early childhood education in the country.

Lone Star Acting Head of Marketing, Dr. Lawrence Bropleh, said the initiative is aimed at buttressing government’s effort in addressing the major challenges in the education sector.

He said: “Lone Star Cell will sponsor early childhood education through its 22 day Yellow Care Program.”

Dr. Bropleh made the disclosure Monday, June 10, 2013 when he appeared on ELBC Super Morning Show Program.

“Our initiative comes in the wake of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s statement that  the Liberian education is a complete mess and needs total repair.” Dr. Bropleh noted.

“We will ensure transparency in the implementation of the company’s campaign code named, ‘Use one and Get one' and also provide job opportunities for Liberians.”  He added.

The Lone Star Cell was the first GSM Company that invested in the country’s communication sector.
