(mylbsonline/Liberia)-Lone Star Captain, Anthony Laffor, is   Calling on Liberians to rally support for the National Team against the Teranga Lions of Senegal for this weekend’s World Cup qualifiers match.

The Lone Star-Teranga Lions match takes place Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, outside the Liberian Capital, Monrovia.

Mr. Laffor told mylbsonline in Kampala Saturday, June 8, 2013 after the defeat to Uganda that he regretted the bad result but called on Liberians not to give up.

“We lost as a team; when we win, we win as a team. So, i am not going to shift blame on any individual player for this defeat to Uganda.” Captain Laffor said.

Captain Laffor noted: “With Liberia still having a chance of regaining authority in the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers, we are keen and hopeful on the big task that now lies ahead with the match between Liberia and Senegal.”

“We can beat Senegal, nothing is impossible. We beat Uganda in Monrovia; they beat us in their home. Senegal beat us in their home.

Now, the Teranga Lions of Senegal are coming to Liberia, let’s raise our performance and give our people the desired result.” he added.

According to Captain Laffor, the National Team has been soberly reflecting on its misfortune with Teranga Lions of Senegal, as the camp remains intact with Coach Frank Jericho Nagbe, Thomas Kojo and Joe Nagbe, doing all that is required of them as technical staff to ensure victory in Sunday’s match.
