For upholding women leadership Prez: Sirleaf praises Prez. Jonathan

 ( Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has paid tribute to her Nigerian Counterpart, Goodluck Jonathan, for promoting women leadership in Africa.

President Johnson-Sirleaf said: “The inclusion of more women in the Nigerian Cabinet is a strong fight against the stereotype that has created several predicaments for women and women leaders on the continent.”

The Liberian Leader outlined three factors that potentially undermine women leadership.

According to her, women leaders are either sift in decision-making, inferior to facing higher standards with low rewards, or mostly favored.

The Liberian President made the statement Thursday, June 28, 2013 when she officially launched the book titled, “Goodluck Ebele Jonathan: champion for Women,” in Abuja, Nigeria.

She challenged African women to be steadfast in the quest for more involvement in political leadership, amidst the traditional notion that they lack the potential to compete with their male counterparts.

The over 300-page book, written by the Nigerian Leader, Goodluck Jonathan, depicts the testimonies of Nigerian women of his vision to ensure their inclusion in African leadership.
