(mylbsonline/Liberia)-Nimba County Senator, Prince Johnson, has suffered another political blow few days following his replacement as Political Leader of the National Union of Democratic Progress (NUDP).

Senator Johnson Tuesday, July 2, 2013, was booted out of the Chairmanship of the Nimba County Legislative Caucus.

The action by his colleagues in the Senate followed an election in which Senator Thomas Grupee defeated Representative Matonnokay Tingban seven to three votes.

Speaking to State Radio, ELBC, following his election, Senator Grupee promised to foster reconciliation and unity among citizens of Nimba County, including members of the county’s caucus.

He said: “I have already communicated with Nimba County Superintendent to begin immediate work on a reconciliation program in the county.”

Senator Grupee said: “There was a need for all citizens of Nimba County, including Senator Johnson, to work together to move the county forward.”
