(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)- A renowned Liberian lawyer wants the information gap between government and the citizenry seriously addressed.

Cllr. Varney Sherman said: “The absence of information to the Liberian people about government’s achievements is a serious deficiency that must be addressed by government with urgency.”

Cllr. Sherman made the statement recently when he served as National Orator for the 2013 Independence Day celebration in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.

“Many Liberians across the country are not informed about the good things government was doing in their interest,” he noted.

Cllr. Sherman pointed out that information about government’s achievements to the people can serve as a conduit for the attainment of peace and reconciliation in Liberia.
