Prez. Sirleaf makes new appointments in Government

(Mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-Several new appointments have been made in government according to an Executive Mansion release.

According to the release, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf named Madam Antoinette Weeks as Minister of Public Works, James Fromayan, Chairman, National Commission on Small Arms and Adolph Lawrence, Member, Board of Directors, Liberia Extractive Transparency Initiative (LEITI).

The release also named Rudolf Von Ballmoss, Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Dr, William Allen, Ambassador to France, Levi Demmah, Deputy Transport Minister for Administration, and Ebenezer Kolliegboi, Deputy Posts and Telecommunications Minister for Administration.

Others include, Cllr. Wheatonia Dixon-Barnes, Deputy Justice Minister for Administration and Public Safety, Catherine Woods and Abraham Nifor, Public Prosecutors, Montserrado County, and Cllr. Fulton Yancy, Public Prosecutor, Maryland County.

President Sirleaf made the appointments Saturday, August 3, 2013 subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable, the release concluded.
