(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-The President Delivery Unit (PDU) Head, Judy Moore, says: “All is being done to ensure that President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf’s promise to providing affordable energy across Liberia is realized.”

Speaking to mylbsonline.com Monday, August 26, 2013 in Monrovia, Mr. Moore said: “President Johnson-Sirleaf believes that electricity is a major priority that affects every aspect of life, such as security, economy education, among others.”

“We are currently working on the procurement of about 118 mega-watt electricity through various projects, including the Mount Coffey Dam’s rehabilitation project,” Mr. Moore noted.

He named other projects as the connecting of 18 border-towns in the central, southeastern and western regions of Liberia to those of Cote D’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

Nimba, Grand Gedeh, River Gee and Maryland Counties form Liberia’s central, southeastern and western regions, respectively.

He explained: “The Cote D’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia (CSGL) project is a commitment by the four West African countries to one hundred kilometer high-powered wire generators.

Mr. Moore added: “All of the CSGL projects will be completed by the end of 2015.”
