Visiting U.S. delegation evaluates donor-funded projects

(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-Donor-funded projects in Liberia are currently being evaluated by the visiting United States delegation.

Currently, the US Government is a major contributor to several donor projects, including TB, HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Energy, amongst others in Liberia.

The delegation, headed by U.S. Congressman, Lindsey Graham, Monday, August 26, 2013, visited the John F. Kennedy (JFK) Medical Hospital and the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) as part of their assessment mission in the country.

The Health and Social Welfare Ministry Program Officer, Peter Logan, said: “The delegation met with beneficiaries of their funded projects.”

Mr. Logan also noted: “The delegation was also briefed on progress and challenges the health sector is being faced with.”
He made the disclosure to mylbsonline.com following the delegation’s visit at the JFK in Monrovia.

The delegation also toured the HIV/AIDS Unit, Children Wall and medical labs, amongst others, and interacted with beneficiaries.

The delegation pledged its continued support to the various projects in Liberia.
