Liberia, Cote DIvoire hold security meeting in Monrovia

(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-A two-day Security Cooperation Meeting between Liberia and Cote D’Ivoire is expected is being held at the defense Ministry in Monrovia.

Assistant Defense Minister for Public Affairs, David Dahn, told mylbsonline Tuesday, September 4, 2013: “The meeting is being attended by representatives of the United Nations (UN) Mission in Liberia and Cote D’Ivoire.

“The Defense Ministers of both countries renewed their commitment to strengthening border security by sharing intelligence,” Assistant Minister Dahn said.

He also noted: “The ongoing meeting is part of a series of talks to maintain the peace and development of the two countries.”

“The holding of the security cooperation meeting will now dispel reports of strained relations between Liberia and Cote D’Ivoire.
