Journalist Yarsiah laid to rest

(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-The remains of Liberian journalist, Othello Yarsiah, have been buried at the Barnesville Cemetery, following funeral service at the Barnesville Lutheran Church.

Mr. Yarsiah died in August, 2013 at the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital in Tappita, Nimba County, due to liver complications.

He was one of the country’s professional and prized journalists who significantly contributed to the profession and the attainment of peace in Liberia through his work.

The renowned broadcast journalist spent more than 30-years in the Media and worked with several local and international broadcast entities, prior to his death.

Media entities he worked with include, the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) Radio, Talking Drum Studio and the UN Radio in Darfur, South Sudan.

Local media institutions, including LBS, Press Union of Liberia (PUL), UNMIL, amongst others, paid tributes at the funeral service of the fallen broadcaster.
