(mylbsonline.com/Liberia)-The Administration of Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital in Nimba County says plans are underway to construct a sixteen-room annex to the hospital.

The hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Francis Kateh, said: “The project is estimated at US$1.8m.

Dr. Kateh made the disclosure Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Tappita, Nimba County when he spoke to mylbsonline.com Correspondent. 

He also said: “The additional sixteen rooms will cater to the influx of patients at the referral hospital.”

“Some of the rooms will be designed as private walls to host government officials and prominent individuals seeking medical treatment at the facility,” he further noted.
The Chief Medical Officer also added: “The hospital now has more foreign specialists and medical equipment.” 

“The foreign specialists perform various surgeries at the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Referral Hospital,” Dr. Kateh further noted.
