NDS confirms medical drugs shortage in Liberia

By Nathan Charles

(mylbsonline.com/Liberia/Sept.27/2013)-The National Drug Service (NDS) has confirmed the shortage of essential medical drugs in Liberia.

The Managing Director of NDS, Beyan Johnson, named Anti Retro Virus, Tuberculosis, and Anti Malaria drugs as insufficient in the country.

The NDS attributed the shortage to delay in the procurement process and finances.

Monday, a huge quantity of Anti Malaria drugs was destroyed by fire in the National Drugs Service’s ware house in Monrovia.
