(mylbsonline.com/Liberia/Oct.21/2013) Ivorian President, Alassan Quattara, says the peace and reconciliation initiative among citizens of Cote D’Ivoire and Liberia is a genuine platform.

President Quattara termed the Peace and Reconciliation platform as the best for addressing the security situation along the both countries’ borders.

According to him, the initiative will also ensure the co-existence of both citizens and develop a sense of ownership for the protection of the borders.

The Ivorian Leader said: “My country will work along with the Liberian Government to ensuring the sustenance of the process.”

“The Zwedru road reconstruction is one of the areas of focus of my government to help improve trade among Liberians and their Ivorian neighbors,” he also added.

President Quattara, however, called on Ivorian refugees in Liberia to begin returning home to help with the post conflict development agenda of their country.

He further noted: “The security situation in the country is stable and there is no need for being afraid of returning home.”

The Ivorian Leader dispelled rumors of witch-hunt against some of the Ivorian refugees residing in Liberia.
