(mylbsonline.com/Liberia/Nov.1/2013) Staff of the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) have been cautioned to make proper use of the available resources.

LBS' Deputy  Director-General for Media Services and Broadcasting, Ledgerhood Rennie, believes the proper use of the available resources by the staff would enable them professionalize public service quality.

Mr. Rennie said: “The management will continue partnering with stakeholders in the media industry to build the capacity of the entity’s staff.”

He, however, wants the workers remain committed to the ongoing transformation at the State Broadcaster.

According to the Deputy LBS Director General, the success of the transformation process at the National Broadcaster can be achieved, if the staff begin taking advantage of growing opportunities of human resource development at the system.

Mr. Rennie spoke Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the end of a one-day brush-up session for staffers of the Liberian National Television (LNTV).

The workshop was facilitated by a Canadian Associate Professor of Journalism at the University of Ryerson, Janice Neil.

Professor Neil lauded the LBS Management for the level of improvement over a short period of time at the National Television.

According to her, the LNTV commands a resounding future in the media land scape, if adequate support is provided the entity and its young generation of broadcasters.
