VP Boakai wants Liberians reconcile in unity

( Nov. 15, 2013) Vice President, Joseph Boakai, wants Liberians work together for the attainment of national reconciliation and healing.

Vice President Boakai reminded Liberians that the strides toward reconciliation and healing do not rest on government alone, but the support of all Liberians.

The Vice President said:”The initiatives undertaken to achieve reconciliation must be re-enforced to ensure that the bonds that unite Liberians remain intact.”

Vice President Boakai spoke Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in Monrovia at a gathering of chiefs and traditional leaders aimed at discussing the types of palaver hut strategies.

The Liberian Vice President urged his kinsmen to put the negative past of disrespect, intolerance and division behind them in the interest of reconciliation national healing.

According to him, the search for reconciliation is not an event but a process that must be cautiously handled with a specific agenda of focus.
