BIN wants US$m for recruits deployment

( Nov. 21/2013)The Bureau of Immigration and Naturalization (BIN) says it needs US$½m to deploy the newly trained 234 recruits to the 15-political sub-divisions of Liberia.

BIN Director of Public Affairs, Abraham Dolley, made the disclosure Monday, November 18, 2013 in Monrovia.

The Liberia News Agency (LINA) quotes Col. Dolley as saying: “A budget of US$1m was approved to recruit, train and deploy the trainees, but only US$479.514 has been released.”

He said: “This amount was used to recruit and train the recruits, and that upon receipt of the balance US$520,486, the recruits will be deployed.”

The BIN Director of Public Affairs also noted: “The administrative process proceeding, with the recruits receiving their employment letters and Personnel Action Notice Forms, in keeping with the Civil Service Agency Law requirement.”

Most of the recruits told LINA they were happy to be a part of the training and pledged to perform their duties professionalism.
