MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Wholquoi Yeahgar)-Liberia is expected to host the Green Climate Fund- GCF Board Meeting shortly in Monrovia.
The EPA Deputy Executive Director, Randall Dobayou, said the GCF deliberation will begin February 5- 7.
Mr. Dobayou said:” The GCF derived from the UN framework is a global mechanism set aside to combat climax change.”
He said:” The meeting is expected to bring together Finance Ministers, among other dignitaries in Liberia, to brainstorm on strategies to mitigate climate change.”
According to him, as part of the event, the guest will tour major areas already exposed to environmental threats.
Speaking in an ELBC interview Friday, January 24, 2020, the EPA Deputy Executive Director expressed the hope that forum will attract donors’ support to the entity and Liberia at large.
