Monrovia Liberia – Mighty Barrolle have climbed to third spot on the LFA First Division table for the first time since 2010, the same year they last won the LFA first division title.

The Rollers who have lost once this season whipped visiting Nimba United 3-1 at the Doris Williams Sports Stadium in Buchanan city at the weekend to move up to third spot on 15 points in eight matches.

Mighty Barrolle have not lost in their last five matches.

Barrolle who spent couple of years in the LFA 2nd division seem to have had their Kayan Pepper rejuvenated with the takeover of the Association by former House Speaker Alex Tyler who has called on fans of the club to lend their individual support for the forward march of the association.

The League leaders, Monrovia Club Breweries were held to an entertaining 0-0 draw by Nimba Kwado at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.

The two Clubs displayed exciting football show piece in front of their supporters as well as other fans who repeated cheered and applauded the two teams.

Both sides goalkeepers were at their best as they put up splendid performances denying their opponents from reaching the ball at the back of the net.

The result means, Club Breweries four points lead at the top of the first division has now been reduced to just three points by LISCR FC who defeated strugglers Small Town FC FC 2-0 in the ATS early game.

Defending Champions, LPRC Oilers could only manage a 1-1 draw against Watanga FC in the other fixture with Oilers falling down the table to 7th spot.

NPA Anchors suffered their seventh defeat of the season, as they lost to Freeport FC 2-0 at the Nancy B. Doe Stadium.

The result left Anchors’ Coach Oliver Markor frustrated as his called on the NPA management for a reinforcement of the team has not been yielded.

NPA Anchors, like LPRC Oilers, only run after players who are without contract or have no experience in the lead.

Oliver Markor took over the NPA Anchors at the start of the season and had requested for funding to sign quality players, but the NPA Sports Association and the Port Management are yet to provide the funding to the coach.
