Monrovia Liberia – The Government has asked the family of late Liberian Broadcast Journalist Zenu Miller to halt his burial until an autopsy is conducted on the body.
Journalist Miller had complained of an alleged brutality against him by an officer of the Executive Protection Service on January 26 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex.
The disclosure was made Tuesday February 18, 2020 during the weekly Executive Mansion Press Briefing by Presidential Press Secretary Solo Kelgbeh.
Mr. Kelgbeh said the Government will underwrite the cost of the autopsy.
He said the family has also been asked by Government to find a pathologist to independently examine the body to know the cause of death.
According to the Presidential Press Secretary, the Government is concerned about the outpour of public views about the alleged manhandling.
Meanwhile, the family said it is meeting on Thursday February 20 to make a final decision on the Government’s request.
