MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation(LWSC)has assured residents of Monrovia of restoring water supply to Monrovia beginning, Saturday, March 21, 2020.
LWSC, Communications Director, Nimpson Todd, said the supply of water was called off due to routine maintenance at its White Plains facility in Johnsonville.
Mr. Todd said LWSC technicians at White Plains supply station are working around the clock to ensure maintenance work is completed as scheduled to restore water supply to customers.
He disclosed that routine maintenance is done every nine month predicated upon the clogging of the centimeter basin serving as conduit in receiving raw water from the St. Paul River to the White Plains Processing Plant.
The LWSC Communications Boss said when the water table is low during the dry season; the intake from the St. Paul River is muddy and required cleaning by technicians.
