MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) has dismissed a statement by the Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority, alleging that a Japanese family of four with symptoms of the Coronavirus boarded a Kenya Airways Flight from the RIA to Freetown.
The Liberia Airport Authority has clarified that the passengers in question boarded the flight from Japan only transited at the RIA before their final destination to Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The LAA, however, disclosed that it is improving the surveillance system at the Roberts International Airport to prevent any increase of the coronavirus cases into the Country.
A release quotes the Airport Management as saying since the outbreak of the virus in the Country, surveillance and screening procedures have been scaled up at the RIA for both inbound and outbound passengers.
