MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Lawyers representing OK FM and Front Page Africa on Thursday, May 21, 2020, concluded a conference with Associate Justice, Joseph Nagbe, over traffic violation against him.
The two media outlets on Monday, May 18,2020, reported that Associate Justice Nagbe violated traffic regulation in the Vai Town area, when his vehicle was seen plying on the opposite lane.
Cllr. Arthur Johnson represented OK FM while Tiawon Gongloe represented Front Page Africa at Thursday’s conference.
Following the conference, Cllr. Johnson told reporters that technically and by virtue of the position, Associate Justice Nagbe did not violate the law as was reported.
For his part, Cllr. Tiawon Gongloe, who represented Front Page Africa, said:” The clear intent of the conference was not to intimidate journalists and silence the Press, but to reach an understanding on both sides.”
