House’s Com’tee on Post-Coronavirus Econ. Reconstruction recommends legislation review…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives Post-Coronavirus Economic Reconstruction Committee is recommending the review of legislation to impact the lives of Liberians.

Briefing the body Tuesday, May 27, 2020, the Committee Chairman, Representative Mike Jury, boasted of Liberia’s abundant resources for the growth and development of the Country.

Recently the House of Representatives constituted the Committee to develop strategies aimed at reviving the Liberian Economy.

However, Representative Jury said:” The Committee has developed a framework pending a road map that will outline priorities, and it will include long and short term approaches.”

The Maryland County Lawmaker called on other lawmakers to make the necessary input to boost the Country’s Economy after the virus.

Meanwhile, the National Christian Council of Liberia is seeking approval from the House of Representatives to offer prayers on the grounds of the Capitol.

In a communication to the body Tuesday, May 26, 2020, the Council Secretary General said:” They have set up a National Prayer Team to spiritually battle and defeat COVID-19.”

Rev. Arnold Cooper said:” The prayer movement will take the team of twelve to strategic places for supplication to God for intervention.”

The Faith Based Organization set Thursday, May 28, 2020, for offering of prayers on Capitol Hill.

According to ELBC Legislative Reporter, the House of Representatives has granted the requested for Tuesday next week.
