MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court ‘C’ on Monday, June8, 2020, issued an arrest warrant for several former Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) employees and Board members for criminal charges.
Those to be arrested are former Executive Bank Governor Milton Weeks, former Director of Finance Dorbor Hagba, former Director of Banking Richard Walker, and former Director of Internal Audit Joseph Dennis.
Others are David Farhat, Melissa Emeh, Elsie Dossen Badio, Kollie Tamba, are charged for alleged theft of property, economic sabotage, fraud on the internal revenue of Liberia, misused of public money, criminal facilitation, illegal disbursement of public money and criminal conspiracy.
Prosecution notified that it is taking advantage of Chapter 18.1 hereby dropping the case against Milton Weeks, but later informed the Court that it has a new indictment to include Milton Weeks and others.
Cllr. Abraham Sillah, Week’s lead lawyer, notified the Court that this is the third indictment being served on his client, but pleaded with the Court that Mr. Weeks has endured in procuring a bond each time an indictment is obtained.
