MONROVIA, LIBERIAN -Clar Hope Foundation, with support from Merck Foundation, has embarked upon the distribution of food and non–food items to underprivileged Liberians.

According to the First Lady of Liberia, Clar Weah’s Office Chief of Staff, Gaelle Mediem, the welfare of the elderly, among other underprivileged people, remains the priority of Mrs. Clar Weah.

Madam Gaelle said the single most aim of the Clar Hope and Merck Foundations is to address the concerns of hunger among the underprivileged, amidst the current coronavirus restrictions.

She made the statement Thursday in Kakata, Margibi County when the Clar Hope Foundation presented 160 bags of rice and 160 cartons, each containing 3-gallons of vegetable oil, to several elderly persons in the County.

Receiving the items, on behalf of God’s Revelation National Old-Folks Network of Liberia, Theresa Kollie, thanked the First Lady for coming to their aid.
