MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has begun the inspection of headquarters of political parties in Monrovia.
NEC Chairman designate Davidetta Brown-Lassanah said:” The Commission’s Inspection Team will be inspecting office structures and other basic facilities that meet the qualification of a political party headquarter.”
Speaking in an ELBC interview Monday, June 15, 2020, Madam Brown-Lassanah disclosed that political parties that would fall short of the criteria will be duly notified and urged to update its headquarters.
Meanwhile, NEC Chairman designate asserted that the Commission remains committed to conducting free and fair elections in the Country.
Madam Brown-Lassanah said:” As soon as the pending resolution of the new election date for the conduct of the Senatorial Elections is finalized and the provision of additional funding is available, most activities of the Commission will begin.”
