River Gee County Superintendent frowns on security brutality in Southeastern Liberia

RIVER GEE COUNTY, SOUTHEASTERN LIBERIA-River Gee County Superintendent Philip Nyenuh has expressed serious concern over the reported growing security brutality in Southeastern Liberia.

Superintendent Nyenuh alleged that security attack on citizens of the Southeastern Region is unacceptable.

His comment comes after an officer of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) manhandled a forty-one year old pregnant woman, who is currently suffering complications at the County’s referral hospital.

The incident happened Wednesday, the same day a forty-three year woman was airlifted from the County to Monrovia, for further medication to restore her sight after she was reportedly pepper-sprayed and jailed by the police Commander in Kar-wea-ken.

Superintendent Nyenuh explained that superintendents of Southeastern Liberia under the banner: ‘Southeastern Superintendent Council’ has begun engaging relevant authorities in Monrovia to bring the security brutality under control.
