THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA-A Liberian international public health expert, Tolbert Nyenswah, wants more concentration on Montserrado County if Liberia will defeat the Coronavirus.
Montserrado County is Liberia’s most populated County and the hardest hit by COVID-19, recording five-hundred-twenty-seven of Liberia’s six-hundred-twenty-six cases and twenty-one of the thirty-four deaths.
Speaking in an interview with ELBC from the United States of America Monday, June 22, 2020, Mr. Nyenswah, however, expressed optimism that if health authorities focus on Montserrado County in the next three weeks, the outbreak in Liberia will stop.
Mr. Nyenswah, a Senior Research Associate at the John Hopkins University in the United States, also emphasized the need for attention to be placed on youth, especially males to speedily reduce the number of cases.
He is recommending the setting up of more isolation units to treat Liberia’s growing cases of Coronavirus infections.
