Govt., partners to launch Virtual Web Portal

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government and partners will on today Tuesday, June 30, 2020, launch a Virtual Web Portal to help Government account for Private Sector donations for COVID-19 response.

According to a release issued Monday, June 29, 2020, the Web Portal will collect information about funds made available by the Private Sector Executive Committee to support vulnerable Liberians.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Eugene Nagbe, Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah, the National COVID-19 Response Coordinator, Mary Broh and representatives from the Private Sector are expected to make special remarks at the launch via social media, ZOOM.

At the same time, the Liberian Government has announced the enhancement and redeployment of the Electronic Management System (EDMS).

According to a Finance Ministry release issued Monday, June 29, 2020, the newly designed, enhanced and customized system will consider all aspects of Government’s business process and workflow, while working directly along with stakeholders.

The release said the system will fully digitize all of Government’s one-hundred-seven entities by enhancing them to scan and upload all financial transactions to the Finance Ministry over the Fiber Optic thus eliminating the need to visit the Ministry.

A local consulting firm, MWETANA Consulting and Technology Group will manage the system.
