MONROVIA, Liberia-President George Weah has consoled the family of fallen Monsterrado County District-9 Representative, Munah Pelham-Youngblood.
Representative Youngblood, a staunch member of the governing Coalition for Democratic Change, died Wednesday afternoon in Accra, Ghana following a period of illness.
According to an Executive Mansion release, President Weah described the late lawmaker as a symbol of love, true revolutionary and astute advocate for justice.
President Weah is quoted as assuring the mother of the lawmaker, Elizabeth Pelham and other family members, that the Government will work with them to give the fallen Stateswoman a befitting burial.
According to the release, President Weah made the remarks Thursday at the home of the late Representative Munah Pelham-Youngblood. President Weah was accompanied by an array of government officials.
