MONROVIA, LIBERIA –Associate Justice, Jamesetta Wolokolie, has cited the leadership of the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) for a conference Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Supreme Court.

The conference is in connection with the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) Chairman, Cllr. Ndubusi Nwabudike’s application seeking to prevent his expulsion from the Bar Association.

The LNBA’s June 19, 2020 decision was questioned by Cllr. Nwabudike’s legal team headed by Cllr. Alexander Zoe with six count petition filed before the presiding Justice in Chamber at the Supreme Court, for a writ of Prohibition consistent with law.

Since the explosion of the LACC Chairman, there have been mixed reactions from several legal minds surrounding the LNBA’s decision, saying that only the Supreme Court is clothed with the authority to expel lawyers, while others have the defended the Bar’s action in line with its Constitution as their reliance.

However, Cllr. Nwabudike legal team has requested the Court for postponement due to bereavement of their client. Story By Fabine W. Qwiah
