MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Governance Commission wants the Liberian Government fully implement the National Code of Conduct.
The National Code of Conduct was passed into law by the Legislature and signed in 2014 by former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
In a release issued Thursday, July 16, 2020, 2020 in Monrovia, the Commission reminded public officials and employees of government about their responsibility to adhere to the Code of Conduct during the forthcoming Mid-Term Senatorial Elections.
It is also cautioning persons desirous of serving in elected positions to submit themselves to the provisions of the Code of Conduct of Liberia.
The Commission in the release wants President George Weah to complete the establishment of the Office of the Ombudsman that will be responsible for the implementation of the Code of Conduct.
