Pres.Weah, Gov officials signed Book of Condolence for late Montserrado County District Nine Representative

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah has signed the Book of Condolence for fallen Montserrado County, District Nine, Lawmaker, Munah Pelham Youngblood.

Representative Youngblood died on July 8, 2020, in Accra, Ghana, following a protracted period of illness.

She was the Chairman of the House Committee on Executive.

Government officials, led by President George Weah, signed the Book of Condolence at the Rotunda of the Capitol.

Following the signing ceremony, the body of the late Montserrado County Lawmaker will lie in State at the Rotunda at the Capitol on Friday, August 7, 2020, and burial is expected to take place this Saturday, August 8, 2020, in Monrovia.

Meanwhile, President Weah has declared a five-day of National Mourning in honor of Representative Munah Pelham-Youngblood, from Tuesday, August 4 to Saturday, August 8, 2020.

During the period of National Mourning, the National Enzymes will be flown half-mast on all public buildings in Montserrado County, from 8 am to 6 pm.

At the same time, Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor along with members of the senate has signed the Book of condolence of fallen Representative Munah Pelham-Youngblood.

Other Government Officials who have also signed the Book, include the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives, and the Chief Justice and Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, among others.

Also signing were former Heads of State and Vice Heads of State as well as former First Ladies of Liberia.

Others expected to sign the book of Condolence include, the Doyen and Members of the Diplomatic Corps, Members of the Consular Corps and Heads of International Organizations, among others.
