MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Civil Law Court has summoned the Standard Bearer of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Jewel Howard-Taylor, and others to appear During the September Term of the Court.
It followed a ten-count petition filed by top NPP Stalwarts over allegation that the day-to-day running of the party is the responsibility of the National Chairman and the Secretary General.
The petitioners also alleged that the day-to-day running of the NPP is being administered by its Standard Bearer, Madam Jewel Howard-Taylor and other ex-officials of the party, an act they say is in violation of the Party’s Constitution.
James Banney, George Mulbah, Andrew Peters and others also claimed that the Standard Bearer and others have not the authority to convene meetings, or issue formal communication in the name of the party.
Internal wrangling over leadership within the NPP has taken center stage for the past years among members of the party.
