Tailor Union Commends Government for Empowerment Opportunities Amid Covid-19

Monrovia, Liberia – The President General of the Liberia National Tailor Textile, Garment and Allied Workers Union is commanding government for providing empowerment opportunities for the Union during the fight against Covid-19.

About twenty members of the Union have been working under the auspices of the Monrovia City Government and the Liberia Crusaders for Peace in sensitizing the citizens about coronavirus prevention since March this year.

Speaking to ELBC Friday, Mr. Elison Kallon said besides their involvement in awareness, the Tailor Union got its first ever government contract to produce nose masks for the country under President George Weah,

Mr. Kallon commanded the government for empowering members of the Union at a time when Liberia is facing difficult economic challenges as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

He was speaking at the Liberia Crusaders for Peace headquarters in Monrovia after members of the Union received compensation for helping government carry out Covid-19 awareness.
