MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has cited Mines and Energy Minister, the Liberia National Police and Liberia Immigration Service to appear before Plenary Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
The decision followed a communication submitted to Plenary by Rivercess County Representative Rosana Shark.
Representative Shark, in her communication, noted that the illegal mining activities in Rivercess County by Foreign nationals is posing high security risk to citizens in the area.
She named economic sabotage, child labor, drug smuggling and abuse, as serious issues confronting the Country.
During deliberations, several lawmakers expressed support to Representative Shark’s communication, describing it as national concern.
