MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Managing Director of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation- LWSC, Duannah Kamara, has attributed flooding in some parts of Central Monrovia to the constant dumping of garbage into drainages.

Mr. Kamara said, the LWSC is challenged with the constant stealing of the manhole tops, a reason for the over flooding of feces also in Central Monrovia.

The LWSC Managing Director meanwhile is appealing for increment in the entity’s budget to address the situation.

He said the LWSC is making significant progress in the provision of affordable and safe drinking water to residents in Monrovia and other parts of the Country.

Mr. Kamara made the remarks Tuesday, September 30, 2020, when he appeared before the House of Representatives, to provide reasons for the reported unsanitary state of Central Monrovia.
