TUBMANBURG, BOMI COUNTY-The National Disaster Management Agency has identified with storm victims of two towns in Bomi County, Trodden, and Zugboon Towns.
A wind storm recently devastated the two towns of the County de-roofing several houses including a mosque, thus making the residents homeless.
But speaking in an ELBC interview Friday, the Executive Director of the National Disaster Management Agency, Henry Williams, said following an assessment of the two towns that were affected, the government, through the Agency, has made some interventions.
Director Williams said the government has donated 135 bundles of zinc, 135 packs of nails, 34 pieces of mattresses along with 30 bags of rice to the storm victims.
He said President George Weah is passionate about helping the poor in consonance with the Pro-Poor Agenda, therefore, he has instructed that disaster relief activities be decentralized and not, only for Monrovia.
