MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Broadcasting, Margibi County Senator, Jim Tonolah, wants to uphold institutional editorial policies.
Chairman Tonolah said without editorial policies, some radio stations randomly broadcast materials without guidance.
The Chairman on Information and Broadcasting also said he will work along with the Press Union of Liberia to correct some of the existing biases and other factors that may hinder ethical journalism.
Speaking in an ELBC interview Tuesday, Senator Tonolah disclosed that staff of the media entities must also be made to abide by their respective editorial policies.
Meanwhile, the Margibi County Lawmaker has pledged to work along with the management of the Liberia Broadcasting System to ensure that the stated broadcaster can get the support it needs.
