MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The autopsy report conducted on the remains of the four Liberians, who died under suspicious circumstances, is expected to be presented to the Justice Ministry this week.
Recently autopsies were conducted on the remains of Fallen Internal Audit Agency Director General Emmanuel Nyensua, Madam Gifty Lamah, George Fanhboto and Albert Peters by two internally trained Liberian pathologists, Doctors Benedict Kollee and Benedict Kparteh.
The Government of Liberia said the delay in the compilation and release of the report is due to the toxicology examination conducted overseas, after some parts of the remains were sent abroad as part of the process.
Information Minister Ledgerhood Rennie quotes Liberia’s Attorney General, Cllr. Frank Musa Dean, as saying the results of the autopsies are now in the Country.
Minister Rennie said:” Pathologists and investigators are compiling their final reports to be presented to the Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Justice as head of the investigation.”
The Government of Liberia, through President George Weah, had requested international participation through the American Embassy in Monrovia in the conduct of the investigations, as a means of demonstrating the Government’s commitment to an open and transparent investigation.
