MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government has reduced the prices for all categories of Liberian passports by twenty-percent.
Ordinary passport will now be sold at forty United States Dollars, instead of the current fifty USD, for all Liberians.
The reduction will also afford Liberians abroad, who previously paid two-hundred USD, to now pay one-fifty USD for passport.
According to ELBC Reporter, the pronouncement was made Thursday, November 12, 2020, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dee-Maxwell Kemayah, during the launch of the Passport Issuance Reform Initiative.
The program also coincided with the signing of the amendment of the 2017 Passport Extension Contract, at the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Monrovia.
Minister Kemayah said:” The reduction is in line with President Weah’s pronouncement to ensure Liberian passports are sold at an affordable price, to ensure Liberians have access to the document.”
