MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Mines and Energy says Liberia has made a major achievement through the CLSG Transco Project.
The Project is aimed at providing reliable and affordable electricity across Liberia.
CLSG Transco Project comprises Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea as beneficiaries of electricity for their respective peoples, through cross-border connections.
According to Mines and Energy Minister Gesler Murray, contractors of the project have made great progress in getting the transmission facilities ready for full utilization.
Minister Murray commended the CLSG Team of Technical experts, mainly the Country Manager, Jerry Taylor, for living up to the timeline of the project, despite COVID-19 distraction.
The release also quotes the Ministry on Mines and Energy Boss as saying the project is nearing completion.
Minister Murray made the disclosure over the weekend during a guided tour to Yekepa, Buchanan and Mount Coffee CLSG Substations.
