December 8 Senatorial, Representatives By-Elections Provisional results posted across the Country

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Unofficial provisional results in the just- ended December 8 Senatorial and Representative By-Elections are pouring in across the Country.

In some parts of Montserrado County, provisional results in the Senatorial race have been posted in various polling centers.

According to ELBC Correspondents in other parts of the Country, provisional results have also been posted with high turn-out reported.

At the same time, vote counts in the National Referendum and the two-by elections are continuing, pending the release of provisional results.

More than 2.4 million voters are registered in the Mid-Term Senatorial Election, National Referendum, with one Representative By-Election each in Montserrado and Sinoe Counties.

Meanwhile, the National Elections Commission (NEC) is expected to release official provisional results in the coming days.

But, President George Weah is urging candidates and their supporters in the Special Senatorial Elections to accept the results of the election.

President Weah said:” The NEC has been proceeding in a transparent manner, since the start of the electoral process.”

With trust and confidence in the process by every Liberian, President Weah said there would be no agitation and election violence.

President Weah was speaking to reporters briefly after he and First Lady Clar Weah cast their ballots at the Kendeja Public School in Paynesville.

On the other hand, the Senatorial Candidate of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), Thomas Falllah, says he will accept the just-ended Senatorial Election.
