MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Former Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf has hailed President George Weah for upholding the democratic values of Liberia.
Madam Sirleaf praised President Weah for being the first to congratulate the winners and urging political parties and their supporters to accept the outcome.
The former President said: “Despite the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change losing key counties in the Senatorial Elections, President Weah exhibited maturity and leadership by respecting the will of the Liberian people”.
According to our reporter, Madam Sirleaf’s congratulatory message to President Weah was written on her official twitter account.
The former Liberian Leader also thanked National Elections Commission Chairman, Davidetta Browne-Lansanah for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the just ended process.
Former President Sirleaf is among several other stakeholders and international partners who have lauded President Weah for embracing the outcome of the just ended December 8 polls.
