KAKATA, MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-A three-day land dispute resolution dialogue has taken place in Kakata, Margibi County.

The dialogue was initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, through the Government’s Peace Building Office.

According to ELBC Upper Margibi County Correspondent, the exercise is a result of a land dispute between citizens of Swen-Mecca District in Bomi County and Fuamah District in Bong County.

Our Upper Margibi County Correspondent said Kakata City was chosen as a neutral ground to settle the land dispute between the two counties.

He quoted Internal Affairs Minister, Varney Sirleaf, as mandating the Peace-Building Office to swiftly intervene into the matter.

The ongoing dialogue brings together Chiefs, Elders and relevant county officials from the two counties.

At the end of the dialogue, a resolution will be adopted to support the sustainability of a peaceful settlement of the matter.
