LOWER MARGIBI COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Management of the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA) has disclosed plans for the rehabilitation of the James Spriggs Payne Airport beginning early next year.
The Managing Director of the LAA, Bishop Allen Klayee, said:” Revamping the airport will recommence domestic flights at other airports across the Country.”
In an interview with ELBC Tuesday, December 22, 2020, Bishop Klayee also disclosed that the airport in Greenville, Sinoe County, has also been rehabilitated and ready to resume flights.
The James Spriggs Payne Airport in Sinkor has been a major aviation site for Liberia since the 1950s, but ceased operations due to damaged runway and other facilities.
